Polypropylene is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic and best-known member of the polyolefin family. It is an economical material that offers a combination of outstanding physical, mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties not found in any other thermoplastics. Reduction of weight and chemical resistance is the main reasons of choosing as a raw material in compounding for different markets.
Tisoplen® Polypropylene homopolymer is the most widely utilized type of polypropylene. It has a high strength to weight ratio and stiffer than its copolymers. Although polypropylene copolymer is softer than homopolymer, it is also tougher and more durable. It offers better impact strength and stress resistance even at low temperatures. Polypropylene random copolymer has flexibility and resistance to very high temperature and pressure. Polypropylene block copolymer is preferred due to its high impact in necessary usage areas.
Tisoplen® compounds are the ideal solution for a wide number of applications requiring a good cost / performance ratio. Special grades and formulations can be developed to meet specific market needs. Tisoplen® compounds can be provided fully colored in customized colors with narrow color specifications colorability even in light colors.
